美國司法部今天表示，已協助南韓當局收回與南韓前強人全斗煥相關的2870萬美元貪汙所得。另方面聯邦檢察官表示，全斗煥親屬已同意美當局沒收在美洗錢的100多萬美元。

美聯社報導，美國司法部表示，美國政府與南韓當局展開聯合調查，收回南韓前總統全斗煥企圖隱匿的2870萬美元，與家屬在洛杉磯聯邦地方法院提出和解，家屬同意美國政府另外沒收在美洗錢的120萬美元。

美國司法部表示，他的部份不法所得透過在美國基金與空殼公司洗錢。

司法部發言人表示，這筆解套金來自全斗煥家屬出售加州新港灘（Newport Beach）1間房子以及在賓夕法尼亞州的一筆投資。

全斗煥收賄超過2億美元，1997年依貪汙、叛亂與叛國罪被判處死刑，之後遭到特赦，當局要他歸還2億美元，但全斗煥聲稱自己破產。
