英國前名模Alicia Douvall由於想擁有芭比容顏，花費將近150萬美元（約4430萬台幣）做了350多次外科整形手術，最終因女兒的勸阻，才恍然醒悟，悔不當初，停止了荒唐的整形。
據新華網報導，Alicia在青少年時期就做了隆胸手術，之後她成了名模，但是她覺得自己還不夠美麗，把自己賺的錢都花在整形上，大約又做了71次整形手術，這些手術對她的身體造成了嚴重的影響，她身體很多部份甚至失去了知覺。
整形影響的不止是她的身體，也影響了她和女兒的關係。在4年中，Alicia每次整形結束都痛不欲生，女兒需要不停的叫救護車，最後，女兒實在沒辦法，給母親下了最後通牒，以離家出走來勸阻母親。
Alicia意識到了問題的嚴重性，她寫信請求美容保養專員回復她的容顏。據報導，這個恢復手術並不簡單，「醫生必須得打破她的下巴來收緊她的肌肉，耳朵也需要割掉，還得用螺絲從右邊插入下巴以彌補肌肉的損傷，為了讓她恢復笑容，他們還要割掉鼻子使唇部能夠抬起來。」雖然手術很痛苦，但是很成功，Alicia也鬆了一口氣。
Alicia以自己的經歷告誡年輕的女性，整形並不是解決問題的辦法。
