陸軍下士洪仲丘遭虐斃一案，在軍檢陸續收押多位涉案軍士官後，軍方針對善後賠償問題，確定將撫卹提高為「國家賠償」層次，估計國賠金額高達1億元左右。

軍方高層官員向《自由時報》透露，若洪案經軍事法院判決有罪定讞，確認為軍中幹部違法行為導致死亡，軍方將會協助洪家提出國家賠償，並且會依法向加害人求償。軍方表示，軍人撫恤是應有的權益，況且洪中秋在軍中禁閉室死亡，將在軍事法院判決定讞後，協助洪家展開家賠償等相關作業。

此外，以過去空軍士兵江國慶冤死案來看，江家獲1億31850元的國賠金，並對前國防部長陳肇敏等7人求償共9124萬4284元。對於軍方再度以國賠善後，有網友表示，不想讓自己的納稅錢被拿去做為國家賠償金，並認為涉案軍士官即刻財產假扣押、防止脫產等，表示誰捅的樓子誰負責。

另有網友說，范佐憲的賓士和哈雷重機可要變賣作為賠償金，或是像江案以代位求償方式。據悉，國防部核發逾億元的國賠金給江家後，再向前空軍總司令陳肇敏等軍官代位求償。但洪案當務之急為希望軍方能盡快讓釐清案情，使真相大白、釐清責任及依法究辦，才能撫平大眾的情緒。
