根據英國肯辛頓宮(Kensington Palace)周三(24日)下午發表的1份聲明，劍橋公爵與劍橋公爵夫人很高興地宣布他們已將他們的兒子命名為George Alexander Louis。

周一(22日)出生的小王子George Alexander Louis是劍橋公爵與劍橋公爵夫人的第1個小孩，也是未來英國王室第3順位繼承人。
