7月3日服役死亡的洪仲丘，明(4)早家人將為他舉行告別式。而在洪仲丘肉體告別人間的前一天晚上，「公民1985行動聯盟」發起凱道送仲丘的活動，初步估計將有10萬人同聚，悼念洪仲丘。洪仲丘大姊洪慈庸上午表示，包括她與母親和哥哥、弟弟，今晚也都會北上參與。
今晚的凱道送仲丘活動，雖然是在晚上6點才登場，但過中午以後，現場已有穿上白色T恤的民眾，陸續集結在活動現場，初步估計將有10萬人同聚，悼念洪仲丘。
對於弟弟告別式即將在明天上午舉行，洪姊上午忍不住擔心起來，「弟弟不在了，媒體熱度也會慢慢沒有了」，她強調，憂心軍方的後續處理態度，「應該會更冷淡」。
陸軍六軍團指揮官今日上午先行將馬總統頒發的旌忠狀，送到洪家，上面也寫著「因公殞命」四個字，洪父則表示，這是形式的，沒有意義、勉強接受。除了頒發旌忠狀給洪家外，國防部也同時追晉下士洪仲丘為中士官階。
目前洪家已決定將洪仲丘遺體火化後，安葬於南投縣名間鄉的萬丹山生命園區。儘管先前軍方有意用軍禮舉行，但洪家不願讓軍方大費周章，因此婉拒軍方的協助。
儘管明天上午就是洪仲丘的告別式，洪慈庸上午指出，她今晚仍然會和弟弟、哥哥、媽媽，一起北上台北，參加凱道前紀念仲丘弟弟的活動。
