中央銀行5日公布今(2013)7月底，我國外匯存底達4091.18億美元，較6月底增加25.12億美元，再創新高。不過，若與世界其他國家相較，台灣外匯存底排名居第四，仍輸給大陸、日本及俄羅斯。
央行表示，7月外匯存底增加主要是外匯存底投資運用收益，加上歐元等貨幣對美元升值，以該等幣別持有的外匯折成美元後，金額增加。
此外，根據央行統計，今年7月底，外資持有國內股票及債券按當日市價計算，連同其新台幣存款餘額共折計2290億美元，約當外匯存底56%。
在各國外匯存底表現部分，依據各國最新公布的外匯存底統計顯示，大陸、南韓、俄羅斯及新加坡也都呈現增加，而目前已公布7月外匯存底資料的包括台灣、日本、南韓、印度。
至於外匯存底最多的，目前還是大陸排名世界第一，截至今年6月底達3.4967兆美元，較3月底增加541億美元；日本外匯存底居第二，今年6月底外匯存底1.1759兆美元，較5月1.1829億美元減少70億美元。
至於俄羅斯6月外匯存底4621億美元，較5月增加17億美元；巴西6月底外匯存底3596億美元，較5月減少48億美元；南韓7月底外匯存底3188.9億美元，較6月底增加32.9億美元；香港6月底外匯存底2915億美元，較5月底減少25億美元，
印度7月26日公布的外匯存底2521億美元，較6月底減少32億美元；新加坡6月底外匯存底2570億美元，較5月底增加13億美元。
