（中央社倫敦19日綜合外電報導）報導今天指出，實習生1場外送烏龍，導致世界吃派大賽（World PieEating Championships）宣告無效。

在英格蘭西北威根（Wigan），1場「慶祝」離婚的活動收到比賽尺寸鹹派，舉行吃派比賽的「哈利酒吧」（Harry's Bar）則收到直徑比規定大上1倍的絞肉馬鈴薯泥派。

法新社和「每日郵報」（Daily Mail）報導，比賽用派應該是12公分寬3.5公分深和66%含肉量。

相較之下，昨天送到哈利酒吧的鹹派有24公分寬。前冠軍、37歲當地健身教練芮格比（Barry Rigby）以42秒6寫下最佳成績。

不過裁判擔心吞1整個派恐有「吞嚥困難」風險，只讓參賽者吃半個派。

而且到最後，第22屆年度吃派大賽仍因為這場烏龍宣告無效。

酒吧老闆賈拉漢（Tony Callaghan）說：「實在可惜，參賽者長時間勤練。你看得出他們嚴肅看待比賽，威根市中心每個街角深夜都可以看到他們練習吃派的身影。」（譯者：中央社蔡佳敏）1031220
