林永樂：努力爭取教宗訪台

外交部長林永樂今天表示，教宗方濟各亞洲行因為行程因素無法訪台，未來會繼續努力爭取。

教宗展開亞洲行訪問斯里蘭卡及菲律賓，親民黨立委李桐豪上午在立法院外交及國防委員會質詢表示，教宗不訪台是因教徒人數不夠多嗎？林永樂回答，教徒人數不是主要因素，而是教宗行程安排。很多天主教的教友也都表達盼教宗訪台的意願，未來會繼續來努力。

林永樂表示，外交部與教廷在國際人道援助及協助中東難民方面有非常多的合作互動，且是台灣在歐洲非常重要的邦交國，駐教廷大使館與各國大使有重要的互動，政府會展示對教廷的高度重視。
