德州南部一間監獄獄方22日表示，他們已奪回被囚犯縱火和破壞的監獄的控制，部分鬧事囚犯已被送往不同監獄。

發生動亂的監獄主要拘禁無證移民，20日上午約 2千名囚犯抗命並縱火破壞監獄設施，促使有關當局使用催淚瓦斯平息騷動。

獄方發言人阿尼塔說，約3百人被送往不同聯邦監獄，但因為安全因素他不透露移送地點和那些人要在那邊待多久時間。
