聯合國16日公布8月21日敘利亞化武攻擊事件報告。聯合國專家宣稱掌握「確實而且有說服力」的證據，證明當天有「載著沙林毒氣的地對地導彈」轟炸反抗人士在大馬士革市郊的據點。但是報告沒有說「是誰發動化武攻擊」。
