據韓聯社報道，韓國農林畜產食品部19日消息稱，世界方便面協會日前針對全球15個國家進行了關于方便面攝入量的調查。結果顯示，2013年韓國人均吃74.1包方便面，位居第一。越南和印尼分別以60.3包和57.3包的方便面攝入量分列第二和第三位。

報道稱，去年韓國方便面銷售總額達1.9728萬億韓元(約合人民幣107.5億元)。今年截至第三季度，韓國方便面累計銷售額已達1.4358萬億韓元。去年韓國方便面生產量達59萬噸，生產規模達2.0124萬億韓元。方便面出口額達2.1億美元，較2008年的1.3億美元劇增64%。方便面進口額由2008年122萬美元增至去年的153萬美元，方便面進口量呈現迅速增加的態勢。
