菜鳥背包客，想問住HOSTEL的注意事宜

原本預計今年八月底與友人一同北京行，但是意外地淪落一個人的旅行。
從未一個人旅行過，光是想到連上廁所，大包小包的怎麼辦？沒有朋友照料行李，就覺得苦惱。

為了省下住宿費，預計會訂北京的HOSTEL，問題很簡單，但對我這沒經驗的俗人很困難，懇求有經驗的背包客TIPS!（可能問題會挺蠢的，請見諒）

住在多人住的房型時...
1.除了背在身上的背包外，適合再帶行李箱嗎？如果沒問題，有沒有保管的好撇步？
2.出遊時，行李可以安心的放在HOSTEL裡嗎？如果不適合，該怎麼做？
3.住在HOSTEL的背包客們有沒有什麼隱性規則？該注意什麼樣的禮節？

老實說不太清楚還該注意些什麼，懇求背包客建議，感謝
