經濟部水利署表示，中颱麥德姆今(23)日清晨已從彰化出海，依中央氣象局的資料顯示，其暴風圈仍籠罩全台，為全台帶來超大豪雨；目前一級淹水警戒的有宜蘭縣、花蓮縣、台東縣、屏東縣、高雄市等5縣市，二級淹水警戒的有嘉義縣。

同時，員山子分洪因水位已超過62.5公尺的警戒水位，已於中午12點20分啟動分洪。

水利署表示，已在位於超大豪雨地區縣市預布大型(8吋以上)抽水機 686 部、中小型 2348部，也支援新北市10部高揚程抽水機，各河川局均有2部抽水機完成上車待命，協助地方政府救災。

根據中午的最新統計，全台調節性放水的水庫計10座，分別為石門水庫、直潭壩、大埔水庫、石岡壩、德元埤、虎頭埤、鹽水埤、阿公店水庫、甲仙攔河堰及集集攔河堰，水利署提醒下游的民眾注意安全、遠離河道，切勿前往觀瀑。

另外，在濁度方面，集集攔河堰目前濁度39,312NTU，雖已達警戒位置，但目前全台尚無供水問題。
