【更新】男子尋短跳河　救起送醫仍不治

高市一名歐姓男子（38歲）上午9時30分許，在麥德姆颱風的風雨稍歇之際，獨自跑到前鎮區鎮興橋跳河尋短，當時一位目擊者侯先生見歐男翻越欄杆後，毫無猶豫就往河中跳，起先歐男還浮在水面上隱約能見身影，沒料不久就沈入河裡遂立刻報警。
 
消防人員到場派員下水搜索，歷時約1個小時發現已無呼吸心跳的歐男，救起送醫急救後仍告不治。警方循著歐男騎乘的機車車號聯繫上家屬，歐父表示，兒子昨天情緒不佳曾揚言尋短，但詳細尋短原因仍需進一步調查才能釐清。（林振義、楊適群╱高雄報導）
