台灣糧食自給率偏低，小麥、雜糧等依賴進口，全國教師工會總聯合會發起「咱糧學堂」活動，在校園種植作物，並結合生命教育，今年有100所學校響應。

全教總表示，農村就是學堂，農作物是最好的教具，觀察作物成長過程便是最好的教案。台灣是米麵雙主食的國家，但小麥、芝麻、蕎麥、大豆等作物仰賴進口，推動「咱糧學堂」便是要讓孩子瞭解糧食自給的重要，並從種植中學習生活知識。

全教總自民國100年起推動校園種植，先從「麥田見學」開始，後來擴展為「豆麥見學」，102年起則是「咱糧學堂」，以復興國產雜糧為目標。鄉下地方利用校園閒置土地，都市區則是用頂樓、盆栽的方式，種植雜糧作物。

全教總表示，今年參加的學校來自全國各地，包括澎湖、金門、馬祖、綠島等，正好100所，都將於10月撒下種子，期待來年的收成。(中央社)
