健保網站修復2天 登記人數超過10月

經歷了大修整的聯邦健保網修復重新上路後，12月頭兩日的個人健保登記人數即達2萬9000人，比整個10月份登記的2萬6000人還多。

不過在健保網登記情況好轉之時，還是不能確定這些登記者是否成功被保險公司接受。這2萬9000人只是成功註冊並選擇了保險，而各保險業者在2日曾抱怨，受保民眾的資訊不正確或不完整，但當局表示，已經修復了產生這類問題的故障。

健保登記雖開放到明年3月，但消費者只有在12月23日前登記才能在明年1月起具有保險。業界普遍擔心健保市場登記人數甚少，尤其是如果年輕、健康人不投保，將影響保費，動搖新健保市場。

雖然健保網的「用戶體驗」得到明顯改善，但最終有多少人登記仍是歐巴馬政府最擔心。白宮4日舉行的「青年峰會」(Youth Summit)召集了160多名青年領袖，也想藉此重燃青年層登記健保的熱情。

但蓋洛普11月20日至12月2日進行的民調顯示的情況並不樂觀。近17%的無健保人士中，28%不打算明年登記健保。寧願罰款也不買健保的人數比例顯示了黨派的明顯差別。45%的無健保共和黨選民選擇罰款，無黨派人士為31%，民主黨選民僅15%。
