黃金價格周三劇挫，較預期強勁的就業報告，削弱了黃金的避險需求。但黃金本周仍上漲1.3%。

美國勞工部公布，11月新增就業達32.1萬人，創2012年1月以來高點，大幅高於預估的新增23.5萬人。平均每小時工資上升9美分，或0.4%，但年率僅上升2.1%，少有變動。

紐約2月黃金下跌17.30美元，或1.4%，收於每盎司1190.40美元。3月白銀下跌32美分，或1.9%，至每盎司16.26美元。

轉強的經濟數據增加了升息的可能性，削弱了黃金需求。黃金是沒有利息的。

周四，黃金亦收低，但守住每盎司1200美元關卡，歐洲央行決議延後擴大振興措施，為利空。歐洲央行決議維持基準利率不變，並宣布將延後至2015年，才考慮進一步振興措施，包括購買歐洲主權債務。

其他金屬交易中，1月白金下跌26.40美元，或2.1%，至每盎司1219.50美元。3月鈀金上漲55美分，至每盎司802.70美元。

3月銅下跌1美分至每磅2.90美元。
